Led by powerhouse plastic surgeons Dr. Armando Davila and Dr. David Turer, our exceptional team helps real people feel more like themselves: not exaggerated and never overdone. With a dual focus on prejuvenation and correction, our goal with each treatment plan is to preserve what already makes you unique, while improving form and function in a way that’s subtle and smart. Aesthetic care at PCPS isn’t about chasing trends or replicating sameness. It’s about helping you move through life with confidence, clarity, and comfort in your own skin.
His path into plastic surgery is marked by an uncommon fusion of academic rigor and artistic intuition. Known for his meticulous eye and thoughtful technique, Dr. Davila is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon whose work consistently reflects both precision and purpose. He doesn't just perform surgery—he listens, studies, and designs treatment plans that meet the unique needs of real people who want to look and feel like the best version of themselves.
With an unshakable belief that plastic surgery should evolve alongside the people it serves, Dr. Davila is a leader in redefining what aesthetic care can be. He actively contributes to the future of the field through clinical education and research, shaping the next generation of talent through his involvement with UPMC’s academic program. Patients trust him not only because of his technical expertise, but because he’s relatable, grounded, and deeply committed to transparency. At PCPS, his mission is clear: to make high-level surgical results feel attainable, personal, and aligned with real-life goals.
As a double board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, he combines years of elite academic training with a rare talent for technical problem-solving in the OR. Patients often say they feel immediately at ease with Dr. Turer—likely because his analytical mindset is matched by a genuine warmth and desire to empower people through honest, well-executed results.
Innovation drives every part of Dr. Turer’s practice. He’s a nationally recognized expert in data science and medical device development, with numerous publications that have helped push the specialty forward. At PCPS, he applies that same level of precision and curiosity to every procedure—refining techniques, improving outcomes, and staying on the leading edge of aesthetic medicine. Whether working on complex reconstructions or subtle aesthetic enhancements, Dr. Turer’s approach is always tailored, methodical, and centered around what’s best for the patient—not just what’s possible.
It was a place I could blend my passion for technical skills and artistry in the OR with a foundational allegiance for research, academia, and innovation. I found my future at the now Pittsburgh Center for Plastic Surgery, a long-standing private practice that had been a leader in plastic surgery for over 4 decades. Since acquiring the practice in 2023 and evolving from the Hurwitz Center to PCPS — much has stayed the same, but so much more has grown.
The Constant: I love this city and its people. Pittsburgh is filled with hard-working, proud, and welcoming people who have a strong sense of community and a rich and storied history to draw from. Genuine, real, and diverse, I felt right at home when I arrived; I’ve never liked the false glitz and glamour that can be present in so many cities. Correcting and solving real challenges for the people of Pittsburgh is PCPS’s primary mission – and to our audience, we promise to offer realism in everything: including education, advice, expectations, and most importantly, results. This city deserves nothing less.
The Evolution: Our growing team is on a mission to change the face of plastic surgery and aesthetic care in this city and beyond — because there is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best, feel your best, and be your best. I want PCPS to be a beacon for natural results, utilizing best-in-class treatments, technology, innovations, and experiences. By taking a revolutionary team approach and possessing a collective mindset that never rests, we embrace this challenge – together.
